TCF Compliance
Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF)
Alke Analytics is fully committed to complying with the Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) v2.2, established by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Europe. Processing Activities Outside the TCF Scope
Alke Analytics is the analytics solution that operates without user consent by complying with strict GDPR-based conditions. The Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) has established technical and organizational criteria for audience measurement exempt from consent requirements, based on an interpretation of the GDPR that permits certain analytics activities when rigorous anonymization and functional limitations are implemented.
GDPR-Based Exemptions for Audience Measurement
Alke Analytics meets all of the following technical and functional requirements to operate without explicit user consent under the GDPR:
Anonymization Requirements
- Irreversible Anonymization: Data must be irreversibly anonymized at the point of collection, with no possibility of re-identifying individuals
- No Individual Identifiers: No personal identifiers (names, email addresses, user IDs, etc.) can be collected or processed
- No Re-identification Capability: Data cannot be combined with other sources in a manner that would enable re-identification of individuals
Functional Limitations
- No Cross-Site Tracking: User behavior cannot be tracked across different websites or digital properties
- No Behavioral Profiling: Prohibited from creating detailed user profiles, behavioral predictions, or user segments for targeting purposes
- Aggregated Metrics Only: Limited to statistical measurements such as visitor counts, page views, session duration, and bounce rates
- No Personalization or Conversion Tracking: Cannot use data for personalization, recommendations, or detailed conversion attribution across sites
- Minimal Storage: Cookies and similar technologies must be limited to strictly necessary technical purposes only
These exemptions are based on the GDPR's principle that truly anonymized data falls outside the scope of personal data processing. Any deviation from these strict conditions—such as the ability to identify individuals, cross-site tracking, or behavioral profiling—would require explicit user consent through the Transparency and Consent Framework.
